BAPTISM

Baptism  is a joyous, yet very serious and profound event in a person's life, as it is the foundation event of the whole Christian life—the gateway to true life in the Holy Spirit. Whilst Baptism is given freely to anyone who sincerely asks for it (or to the child of any parent who asks for it), it is not given lightly. We expect, therefore, that anyone requesting baptism for themselves or their children will attend Mass and speak to one of the priests after Mass to arrange the Baptism. We ask you to fill out the Baptism request form and return it to the priest or post it through the presbytery door.

We have a Baptism preparatory class which takes place on the third Saturday of the month at 4.00pm at St Willibrord’s Presbytery. It is essential that you attend this class for your child to be baptised as key information and steps are given for you to celebrate this special sacrament.

Baptisms take place twice a month:

St Willibrord’s – First Saturday of the month at 12 noon

St Anne’s – Third Saturday of the month at 12 noon
